So here we go again another year another Dew Tour..

Well first off I would like to say Jaie, Stevie and Vince killed. It was a treat to watch them all ride. This is going to be hard to write about since i had such a bad time at the event. Hanging out with Jaie and Jedi, whom I haven't seen in a few years was great. We all had some good times at the Bars in this city. Lots of Jack and Coke's were consumed...haha good times!

So the contest was not good at all at least not for me the jumps turned out bad, and this is deff not Fuzzy or the other builders faults. Dew Tour doesn't give them enough time or help to make the jumps right and that deff sucks. I feel bad for them since they have to here it from everyone. I feel for ya Fuzz, Gilly, and Elf. Plus the fact the decided to build this event in the WINDY city! Next to one of the great lakes. Come on guys figure it out already you want to have the best event, but yet you continue to build them in the worst locations. Where there is a big body of water there is wind!!!!!!! It wasn't just bad for the dirt guys either. The wind was so bad that you could hardly practice on the park course, and vert wow that was even sketchier. Now I’m probably going to get some shit for saying all this, but I don’t care someone needed to say it!!

I attached one photo of me and TJ Ellis from the bar its the only photo I have from the event but like I said it was a terrible trip for me but I love the photo

Vince Byron, Hey guys, howz it goin?

I just got back from cold Berlin, Germany @ the Telekom Extreme Playgrounds contest. Needless to say it was a hectic time but in the end was heaps of fun and reminded me why i love travelling and ridin my bike.

After a delayed flight and missing another i eventually got to Berlin where it was snowing and a chillin -18 degrees. Not exactly riding weather. And if that didnt sound bad the next part makes its alot worse. I had no bags, the weather was bad enough for the airlines to lose alot of people bags, something like 4000 peoples luggage was missing over the weekend. So no bags meant i only had the clothes on my back and no bike for a contest, Great! So i spent a bit of time in the hotel until some of the other guys rocked up and found out they had no bags either. Some had all their bags, some had only bikes, some had only clothes and some had nothing.

On Saturday we had practice and there was about 3 guys who had bikes out of the 8 competing. Since i didnt have my bike i prepared for the worst and jumped on a couple of their bikes and tried to get comfy, but i could tell it really wasnt going to be good riding a contest on someone else's bike with only a helmet and no pads on a vert ramp. But finally some luck came about. I got back to the hotel that night and my bike had arrived as well as a couple of other guys too. The only guy whos bike didnt come was Steve Mccann. I know how he must of felt, he rode the contest on someone elses bike, pads and helmet. Good on him for havin a go! So with myself all sorted we all went out to
pick names out of a hat to see who we would compete against as it was a head to head contest. I picked out Jan Valenta from Czech Republic and the other boys picked out theirs. After that we chilled at the bar and had a few beers to celebrate having our bikes finally and being in Germany, just felt like the right thing to do.

So the next day way the contest and i got there around 11am for practice which was pretty early since the comp was at 6pm. I was pretty much the only one riding for some reason the other guys either practiced yesterday or mayb they were hungover? Anyway i had fun flowin around by myself for a bit then everyone got there to watch the street comp. We watched that and it was a pretty epic contest but in the end Brett "Maddog" Banasiewicz took the the win followed by German, Bruno Hoffman and Alex Coleborn comin in 3rd. Alex also took out the Best Trick Contest with a crazy 540 whip to footjam whip! It was time now for Vert and i was feelin pretty good for the contest. I went against Jan and ending up winning which put me into the 4 man final. The other guys in the final were Steve Mccann, Austin Coleman, Coco Zurita and myself. The final was a straight out 2 run final, not head to head style. I was last to go. Everyone threw down a sick first run and i was left on top after that. Only one more run to go. I watched as Coco the last rider before me dropped in, he was blasting as he usually does and lookin stylish and smooth. He went for a flairwhip and slid out. The scores came up and i was still in the lead. I had won the contest and i still had another run to go! But that didnt matter to me. What mattered more was that i had another run to send it and i wanted to try a flairwhip since i had been doing alot of them on resi and this was a perfect opportunity to throw one down. I dropped in, did a few other tricks, double whip, double down whip, 540 bar to tuck. Then i sent it. Flairwhip. Pulled, done!

I was stoked! Just so stoked on life! That was an amazing contest. After that we got into the beers and celebrated, for some reason with some late night wrestling in the hotel lobby with Webby, Alex Coleborn and Jason Phelan. After almost getting kicked out of the hotel, but somehow managed to continue the wrestling match. I was 5 am and time to get to bed cause i had be outta there at 7.30. Well thats it from me, time to get some sleep!
